Storming the Bastille
For my second internship I worked at Filmateria Studios in Seattle. While I was there I worked on a web series called Team Marco Polo, a travel show for kids. In honor of Bastille Day, they had me make this video. This was my first time using Adobe After Effects so extensively.
Sonya
In the Spring of 2011 I was a participant in a 48 hour film making competition within the film club at NMSU, this is the result. I was very pleased with the result considering our time constraint. Some of the team members have thought about remaking the whole thing because of the fun plot. I think the whole "little girl superhero" idea lost much of its novelty after films like Hannah and Kick Ass. As an editor I often find it hard to come up with my own ideas for films, but 48 hour competitions help with that by lowering the standards enough for bad ideas to take hold, develop, and become good ideas.

Bongo Bong
In my first year at college I took an intro to film making class. As a final project we made a music video together. I was selected as director and I chose the song Bongo Bong. This was my first real attempt at creative editing and I think it went well.
West Sound Academy Promotional Film
I was approached by my high school film teacher who asked me to make a short promotional film for the up coming yearly fundraiser. I had never shot interviews before so I was learning on the go with some help from my teacher. I spent half the semester making this film often scrapping all my footage and starting over after getting feed back. In the end, the film was shown at the fundraiser which happened to raise a record amount of money.
Midday Thoughts
In high school I was assigned to interpret the song Midday Thoughts by Aaron Copland into a short music video. Using the only available camera and a classmate, I shot this video behind our campus. I tried to tell a story about our interaction with nature and I'm very pleased how it turned out.
